in Soundtrack Pro I want to change the key of the audio but the feature is greyed out

Hi.

When I work with an audio file in Soundtrack Pro and want to raise or lower the key of the audio

the choice is greyed out and so is change tempo. I am selecting the region and the track but

those 2 features are grey and can't be used. Is there anybody who knows why and how to get

them. Thank you for your time and patience.
